Our progress
Taraz College of Railway Transport and Communications is one of the oldest educational institutions in Zhambyl region.
Since its earliest years, the Railroad College has been preparing skilled followers of the working class. With the creation of the Turkestan-Siberian railway, there was a need to train specialists, in connection with which a school of factory training was opened in 1930. In 1940, on the basis of the school, the Zhambyl Railway School was created. It trained skilled workers for railway transport in the following specialties: locksmiths, locksmiths, carriages, locksmiths, machine operators, toolmakers, locksmiths of mechanical equipment, track foremen. Over the years of its existence, the railway school was renamed into a vocational technical school, a vocational technical school, a vocational school, a vocational technical lyceum, and a railway college.
On the basis of the decree of the Akimat of Zhambyl region No. 198 dated June 28, 2012, the Professional Lyceum No. 13 was renamed into No. 13 Taraz Railway College.
By the decree of the Akimat of Zhambyl region No. 203 of October 24, 2018 No. 13, the Taraz Railway College was renamed into the Taraz College of Railway Transport and Communications.
